Understanding the Aftermath Hands of Hope: Overcoming Domestic Violence

Each year the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. Metropolitan Baton Rouge Chapter hosts a forum to bring awareness to Domestic Violence.  Our initial forum, Understanding the Aftermath Hands of Hope: Overcoming Domestic Violence, focused on survivor stories and offered resources to educate, help eradicate, and possibly prevent a woman, man or child from becoming a victim of domestic violence. The goal was to share tools and resources regarding current laws, victor’s stories, and professional editorial advice.
This year, we want to expand the conversation and continue to work on creating legislation that would be better suited to deal with the issues victims face. Join us for a community discussion on Domestic Violence as we seek to advocate for well-rounded policies for victims and their families.

The event is finished.
