UNAPOLOGETICALLY BE 100

The Metropolitan Baton Rouge Chapter (NCBWMetroBr) of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc. launched the Unapologetically Be the 100 Mentoring program to provide support and mentorship for black high school girls through health, education, public policy, and empowerment as they develop into the future leaders of the world.

Our Unapologetically Be the 100 program is now taking new mentees and mentors. The program is open to black girls between 7th and 10th grade. Our goal is to create a network of support for these young ladies as they navigate their high school years. This program hopes to boldly arm young ladies with tips and strategies to be successful and give them a support system necessary for growth in these critical years of a young woman’s life. By the end of the mentorship, the young ladies will have a sense of inclusion and knowledge about creating gender equality and be empowered in the areas of education, public policy, economy, and health. This program will utilize a holistic approach toward improving participants’ physical, mental/emotional, and social well-being.
