The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. (NCBW) – Metropolitan Baton Rouge Chapter is a local affiliate organization of a national non-profit advocacy organization whose mission is to advocate on behalf of Black women and girls through national and local actions and strategic alliances that promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education and economic empowerment, and public policy.

The Metropolitan Baton Rouge Chapter of NCBW is delighted to welcome your interest in joining our organization! Our chapter is a non-profit organization comprised of a group of dynamic, professional women who are committed to promoting our mission of advocating on behalf of Black women and girls within the Baton Rouge area while creating and promoting opportunities for them that promote gender equity and provide leadership opportunities in the areas of health, education, public policy, and economic empowerment.

We are looking for talented, dedicated, and career-oriented women who are active or emerging leaders in their communities that share our chapter members’ desire to make and effect positive change for Black women and girls. As a member of the Metropolitan Baton Rouge Chapter, you will be a part of a group of strong, progressive women both locally and nationally who are there to support and guide you both professionally and personally through our advocacy and service work and the bonds of sisterhood.

The Membership Process

Women who are interested in becoming a member of the Metropolitan Baton Rouge Chapter must complete the membership process during an applicable membership intake period. Please subscribe to our newsletter below and follow us on all social media platforms @ncbwmetrobr to stay abreast of our events and programs.

The membership process requires the following:

  • Submit a complete membership application and application fee
  • Submit a headshot, a resume, a brief biography, and background check
  • Complete the interview and recruitment process

* Proof of Covid-19 vaccination may or may not be required dependent upon the state of the virus and restrictions provided by our national board of directors.
