Maternal Health Summit: Empowering Our Moms (Judge Hatchett Intro)
It’s officially Black Maternal Health Week — a time to honor, advocate for, and uplift Black mothers across our community and beyond.

Black mothers are the backbone of families and communities, yet they are disproportionately impacted by alarming maternal health disparities. It’s time to change the narrative — to demand a healthcare system that provides safe, respectful, and equitable care.

Join us for the Metropolitan Baton Rouge Chapter’s inaugural Maternal Health Summit: Empowering Our Moms — a transformative virtual experience that centers the voices, needs, and wellness of Black mothers. This powerful event will bring together community leaders, healthcare professionals, and advocates to share tools, resources, and solutions for better maternal health outcomes.

✨ Keynote Speaker:
We are honored to welcome Judge Glenda Hatchett, nationally renowned television personality and fierce advocate, who will deliver a keynote address that will educate, empower, and inspire.

🔹 Dr. Veronica Gillispie-Bell – Board-Certified OB-GYN, Associate Professor, and System Medical Director of Health Outcomes at Ochsner Health. A respected expert dedicated to improving the care and outcomes for Black mothers.
🔹 Frankie Robertson – Public health leader and President of The Amandla Group, LLC, committed to eliminating systemic barriers and advancing maternal health equity through advocacy, education, and policy reform.

📅 This event is FREE, but space is limited.

Together, let’s rewrite the narrative for Black mothers, demanding care that heals, respects, and protects. Let’s build a future where Black motherhood is not a risk factor, but a celebration of life, strength, and legacy.
