Courtney Hunt

President

A self-described public servant, Courtney L. Hunt, is a Program Manager for Community Engagement and Health Equity who is committed to creating sustainable change. She has spent over 25 years delivering measurable outcomes and is currently most passionate about the work she is doing at Ochsner Community Health Centers to help improve the overall health of the state of Louisiana by 2030. At Ochsner, Courtney is responsible for building collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders while promoting the initiatives of the Community Health Centers that promote Health Equity. She convenes community advisory councils and works with providers and government relations to bring awareness to the initiatives of the center. During her time at Ochsner, she has been recognized for her spirit of excellence in her work.

Courtney is the owner of Courtney L Hunt Coaching & Consulting formerly Jade N James Consulting, LLC, where she assisted small businesses and nonprofit organizations with project management, program planning, fund development, and business coaching. She has facilitated and moderated numerous panels in the nonprofit and education realm. She pivoted her business to focus on coaching as a way to empower businesses to take ownership of their projects. Her mission is to Empower, Motivate, Engage, and Ignite leaders through a transformative process to create the life of their dreams.

Outside of the office she has a lifelong legacy of leadership and service. She is a diamond life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. where she has serves as the co-chair for Social and Political Action and works with the educational programs.

She currently serves as the president of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. Metropolitan Baton Rouge Chapter where is unapologetically advocates on behalf of Black Women and girls in the areas of health, education, economic empowerment and public policy.
As a charter member she held many roles including co-chair of public policy, parliamentarian, Sisternomic$ Committee, co-chair of Fundraising and more. Under her leadership she has elevated the public profile of the chapter, had record fundraising and stabilized chapter programs. She led her Chapter out of chapter development to Model Chapter with a perfect score of 100%.

She has passed her legacy of service on to her daughter, Jade, who is the CEO of Jade Cares Foundation, an organization that collects blankets for families visiting their children in Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital. To date, they have collected and donated well over 1,600 blankets.

Outside of work and service, she loves to travel and spend time with her daughter, family, and friends.

Courtney is a proud, two-time alum of The Southern University A&M College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and her Masters of Public Administration.
