Pink Fascinator Tea

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Incorporated Metropolitan Baton Rouge Chapter is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Our mission is to advocate on behalf of Black women and girls to promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education, and economic empowerment. We are proudly hosting a Pink Fascinator Tea for Breast Cancer Awareness on October 5, 2024 from 12pm-2pm located at the Milton J. Womack Ballroom 6201 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA. The purpose of this program is to address the health disparities and inequalities among African Americans in the Metropolitan Baton Rouge area by educating the community on the importance of screenings, early diagnosis, and treatment of breast cancer. We are excited to announce our guest speaker oncologist, Dr. Constance Blunt, who will focus on the key risk factors, signs, symptoms and treatment of breast cancer, thus promoting early detection and decreasing the mortality rate in the African American Community. Breast Cancer Survivors will share their journey of treatment, hope and life. Information from vendors and resources within the community will be present.
